I currently work for Google as an Engineering Manager™. Previously I worked for BlackBerry (formerly known as Research In Motion) as a Team Lead on the Handheld Media team. For those not familiar, the media team was responsible for all of the wonderful multimedia applications you used on your BlackBerry smart phone, such as the camera and music player.
I also previously worked for 5 years at a (now defunct) start-up called TVWorks developing video-on-demand solutions for the Cable TV industry. Before that I had a brief stint in the P&C Insurance industry, writing and maintaining insurance software. Yes, it was as boring as it sounds. I graduated with an Honours degree in Computer Science from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2003, and became a Scrum Master in 2006.
My Personal Life
One of my favourite past-times is Video Games, and I have an extensive collection of 20+ consoles and almost 2000 games from the Atari-era to the modern consoles of today. If you'd like to take a look yourself, you can check out my entire collection at vgcollect.com. Although I work in the city of Waterloo, the place I currently call home is the small town of Woodstock in Ontario, Canada which is about an hour west of Toronto. There I live with my wonderful wife and two wonderful children.
