The Quirky Side of Testing
Not all bugs are created equal. Sometimes quirks in the programming languages we use are to blame, and finding them has often stumped even the best programmers and testers. Join us as we take a fun look at the quirkier side of testing by showing some hand-picked examples from many of the languages we use everyday. Finally we will challenge you to try and guess the quirk as we present a series of oddball examples found in languages such as C, Java, Objective-C, PHP, and everyone's favourite - JavaScript.

Challenges in Mobile Apps: A Multi-Disciplinary Perspective
As part of a workshop format, I presented challenges facing mobile application developers related to testing and testing automation. The presentation also offered some solutions to common problems faced by developers, including what I've dubbed 'The Native/Library Problem'. This presentation was preceded by three presentations discussing topics such as a discussion of challenges facing mobile application developers, and current research in the field including in areas of power management and test automation. The presentations were followed by a great panel discussion around challenges in mobile applications.
